Terms of Service
Effective from 18 June 2026
This English version is a translation. In case of any conflict, the Finnish version prevails. See the Finnish version.
1. Nature of the service
Playtonite (the "Service") is an online marketplace where amateur sports teams ("Teams") can list open spots in their shifts and individual players ("Players") can book and pay for those spots. Playtonite acts as an intermediary; the actual service (running the shift, the venue, coaching) is provided by the Team, not by Playtonite.
A Team may be a registered association/company or an informal recreational group ("pickup group"). The Team's responsible person is liable for commitments made on behalf of the Team.
2. User account
Using the Service requires authentication via Lovable Cloud (email or Google). The user is responsible for the accuracy of their account details and for keeping their password safe. The Service provider may close an account that violates these terms, the law, or third-party rights.
3. Payments and free of charge
Playtonite is currently entirely free of charge and does not process any payments. Booking a spot in the Service is free for Players, and Playtonite does not charge Teams a monthly fee or commission. No card or other payments are processed in the Service.
If a shift has a price, it is a direct payment between the Team and the Player, made outside the Service in the manner specified by the Team (e.g. mobile payment, bank transfer, or cash on site). The Team is responsible for the accuracy of the price and payment instructions, for receiving payments, for receipts, and for any tax and VAT obligations. Playtonite is not a party to the payment and is not responsible for disputes related to it.
The price shown in the Service is only information provided by the Team about what is paid for the shift directly to the Team.
Playtonite may introduce payment processing and commission-based pricing later. Users will be notified of the change in advance, and no fees will be charged retroactively.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Shifts are not subject to the 14-day cancellation right under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (KSL ch. 6 s. 16(12)), which exempts leisure services performed at a specific time. Detailed cancellation terms can be found in the cancellation terms.
5. User obligations
- Provide truthful information about yourself and your Team.
- Do not publish illegal, offensive, or misleading content.
- Do not attempt to defraud or collect payments for shifts that do not exist.
- You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and venue bookings; Playtonite is not responsible for these.
- Do not share other people's personal data without permission.
6. Reporting content
You can report illegal or inappropriate content via the notice channel . We process notices within 14 days (DSA art. 16).
7. Limitation of liability
Playtonite is not a party to a shift and is not responsible for its execution, quality, or safety. The Service is provided "as is". Playtonite's liability is limited to the payments the user has made to Playtonite for use of the Service during the previous 12 months, which is currently €0.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Finnish law. A consumer user may bring a dispute before the Consumer Disputes Board. Other disputes are resolved in the Helsinki District Court.
