What does using Playtonite cost?
Nothing. The service is currently completely free for both teams and players: we don't charge a monthly fee or a commission. A paid commission model will only be introduced later, and we'll announce it well in advance.
How does a player pay for the shift?
No money moves through Playtonite. You set a per-player price for the shift and save payment instructions in your team settings (for example a MobilePay number, a bank account and reference, or 'cash on site'). The price and instructions are shown to the player on the shift page and in the booking confirmation email.
Does the team need to be a registered association?
No. Registered clubs and companies as well as informal casual crews can all create a team. Since payments don't run through Playtonite, no verification or payment account is required.
Is there a commitment?
No. Stop publishing shifts whenever you like — using the service costs nothing, so there's nothing to cancel.
Can I manage several teams?
Yes. There's no limit on the number of teams and shifts under one account.
What if a shift is cancelled?
Cancel the shift from the admin view and players who booked will be notified automatically. Since Playtonite doesn't charge anything for the booking, there's nothing to refund; if you've already taken payment, arrange the refund directly with the player.
Payments are handled outside Playtonite: save your payment instructions in the team settings and they'll show up to the player on the shift page and the booking confirmation.
